The Ellis House, a vacation home located in Kyneton, Australia, is described as the “perfect country escape,(…) a combination of rustic comfort and modern luxury”. In deed, this house, originally built in 1860, is as relaxed as it is sophisticated and reminds me of the refined yet laidback homes of the English countryside. Notice how the combination of dark and light colours in the decor adds an appealing dramatic effect to the space. I also love the use of a feminine crystal chandelier in the living room that contrasts with the masculine feel of the design scheme.
