The Marie-Antoinette Style

A semester spent studying in Paris, visiting glamorous museums and furnished historical mansions added to watching, or should I say experiencing, Sofia Coppola’s Marie-Antoinette film had a drastic impact on my vision of style and decor. I fell in love with the opulent style of old French châteaux and the light pastel colors that Coppola used throughout her movie on clothing, decor and even yummy pastries. I know I’m not the only one: after the movie came out, the Marie-Antoinette style, as revisited by Coppola, was everywhere; in fashion, in interior design trends… Now it’s in my home. Maybe life does imitate art after all.
